L+A has been performing accessibility surveys for both public and private clients since 1996. The surveys have covered the requirements for both state and federal laws including the California Building Code, the CA Historical Building Code, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Fair Housing Act.

Along with identifying code violations, L+A is able to suggest practical solutions that are readily achievable for difficult situations in existing settings based on our extensive experience as practicing Architects for the past 26 years.

In addition, we are able to provide CASp (Certified Access Specialist) surveys as per California Senate Bill 1608 for public accommodations.

Project surveys have covered banks, restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, yacht clubs, movie theaters, fuel stations, law offices, childcare centers, auto supply stores, country clubs, university buildings, and public housing projects.

A few examples include:

First Bank branches in San Mateo and San Francisco, CA
Laurel Inn of San Francisco, CA
Lichee Garden Restaurant of San Francisco, CA
Berkeley Housing Authority, Berkeley, CA
Varsity Theater, Davis, CA
University of California, Berkeley, CA
