The Artisans of San Francisco project involved providing disabled access design services for the photograph and poster store located in San Francisco.

The scope of work included the voluntary remodeling of the front entrance for accessibility by wheel chair users. This included changing part of the front sidewalk to effect a level landing to approach the store. An automatic door opener was also installed and the storeowner remodeled the display shelving and cases for greater accessibility.

The design work was preceded by the application of a technical assistance grant from the San Francisco Independent Living Resource Center for an initial project study.
