The Dharmata Foundation, a Buddhist organization, received a notice of violation for replacing several stained glass windows in their recently purchased temple building located at 235 Washington Avenue, Richmond, CA.

The work included producing a history of this historically significant building with architectural historian Michael Corbett, reviewing the work done as per the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation, and successfully negotiating a solution with the Richmond Planning and Building Departments which included careful storage of the removed windows and a plan for eventual reinstallation.
